Client Goals

The homeowners wanted a brighter, easier-to-clean ensuite with a true spa feel—without expanding the footprint. Storage, a curbless shower, and heated floors were must-haves for year-round comfort.

Challenges

The existing tub surround dominated the room, lighting was flat, and the subfloor needed re-sloping for a linear drain. Working in an occupied townhome meant tight noise windows and dust control.

Design Solutions

We removed the tub, introduced a curbless shower with large-format tile, and added a floating vanity with quartz surfaces. Layered lighting and a quiet exhaust fan keep the space functional at every hour.

Build Process

Protected pathways, demo, waterproofing, rough-ins, tile and glass install, then vanity and punch list. Daily site tidy-downs kept the home livable throughout the four-week schedule.

Final Details

Slip-rated heated floors, sealed grout, soft-close drawers, and a framed glass panel deliver a hotel-calibre ensuite that still fits the townhome layout.

Highlights that matter to future clients

Curbless entry improves accessibility without sacrificing style.

Large-format tile reduces grout lines and speeds cleaning.

Heated floors and upgraded ventilation keep the space comfortable year-round.

Completed on schedule while homeowners stayed in the townhome.
